Myths about animals you thought to be true

1.Cats always land well.

FALSE. Cats have the ability to change the position of its body in freefall but this reflex is activated in milliseconds, so while shorter the fall, the less chance of a successful landing.

2.Bats are blind.

FALSE. They use echolocation as the main instrument to move at night; but also they rely on their vision to perform some tasks during day.

3.The birds will abandon their chick if

 they are touching by a human.

FALSE. Birds have small olfactory nerves, so they actually have a terrible smell. No bird can throw its baby out of the nest with the excuse that any human has touched it.
